geoff wynne [bio /09]
grew up in rooms painted some kind of coffee and cream color
he added color to these walls as necessary
when he was a boy he had a pony
and a saddle
and acreage to roam
dirt the color of his bedroom walls
he fell in and out of love up and down California
high in the saddle of his poetic pony
he kept cats
he named them about situations more than things
he drove a vw bug in the alps once
and then he drove it in the central valley of California
he is adept at time travel
he used to write poetry about owls
now he takes pictures of spiders
kind of the same thing if you consider it
he wrote a song about water
and one about dirt
write what you know he said
he carries marbles in his pocket
a nostalgia for the future
he was born with it
