The afternoon sun, the dishwashing, the distractions.
This is how soap bubbles fit together. This is framed Big on the wall at home.
There’s a lotta stuff on the wall at home…BZ has plans to find an audience for this stuff.
I just have plans to hang out & play with a camera.
I hope that’s gonna work out for us

This started out washing dishes in front of the kitchen sink: Soap Bubbles.
As long as we’re still in the kitchen, here’s some out-of-focus coffee.
Afternoon coffee, sun just -so- just long enough to grab a camera before the coffee filtered through.
I’ve developed an appetite for out-of-focus moments anymore….

Froth on top of the melitta coffee filter, perfectly out of focus.

Enjoy this, details later…

too involved wth eggs

Detail of a minor illusion

this pot was abused
Just a simple pot to cook in.
For reference, I call it an Eggpan.
It has been totally rehabilitated & remains in use.
I think my mother got it from her mother.
Family history has lots of interesting small & large near-disasters in the kitchen
as well as a few cautionary tales of how the house burned down.
Distractions & innate distractability led to this.
It’s not about art: it’s opportunism…

This was lost in the war of the Anglican Schism. Nobody won.
i wasn’t about to do this
till charlie surendorf said “do it!”
he don’t know what he’s talking about
’cause he so long dead.
but i do it anyway.
Red Church posting
might be a regular event.
It’s long been
a common local sport & destination.

It was raining & i was in the garage with the door cracked at the bottom for the cats & from the back of the garage the reflections off the puddle splash trying to get under the door caught my eye. Lotsa things do. There wasn’t enough light to get good, so i had to tweak them pretty hard to make them make sense. & then just barely.
I’ll get another lens someday soon & let you know.

Hard tweak just to see if there's any "there" there. (Gertrude Stein)
and…the last of these…until the next storm…

A hard tweak to rain puddle in low light
- “There is no there there” appears in Gertrude Stein’s Book _Everybody’s Autobiography_. When Stein returned to California on her lecture tour to the United States in the 1930s, she wanted to visit her childhood home in Oakland, CA. She records that she could not find the house. Hence, “there is no there there.” –Sonja Streuber
