This is from the glass front door of a woodstove.
It got hot to just the right temperature & other mysterious conditions
& the soot on the inside of the stove made these patterns in the glass.
It was an uncommon occurance & i had to get the camera too hot
in order to get the best picture with it. Didn’t feel good about that.
I have a different camera now…

But, ya know? If this came out at about 4 feet tall & had a lot of shine, that’d be ok with me.

A week in Portland.
This is what i saw…there’ll be a few more & a cat post on Friday…
Here’s a “common” snapshot from a public place:

Lovejoy Fountain - on the PSU campus - while we were here, the same 3-6 guys gathered here every night
They'ed converse, get loud & argue. Detours were available.

Nice floor.
At the WCI graduation the back of the hall was populated by baby tenders & one cameraguy who couldn’t sit still in a big, loud room at the convention center. Lots of concrete, little speakers on the portable PA. I missed all the words in the boomy mix & wandered around. I enjoyed the floor.

Enjoy this, details later…

too involved wth eggs

Detail of a minor illusion

this pot was abused
Just a simple pot to cook in.
For reference, I call it an Eggpan.
It has been totally rehabilitated & remains in use.
I think my mother got it from her mother.
Family history has lots of interesting small & large near-disasters in the kitchen
as well as a few cautionary tales of how the house burned down.
Distractions & innate distractability led to this.
It’s not about art: it’s opportunism…
